Bed Time

OK as most of you know I require a few items to get a good night sleep. The most important one is
I also really enjoy it when I have a pair of these
So if that wasn't already enough my dentist the last time I saw him told me I grind my teeth. While I didn't really believe him that could be because he wanted to charge me $500 for a guard. So now I have one of these

a $35 guard from the drugstore. Only down side is it is a little more bulky. I haven't actually slept with it yet. I tried last night but the thing is you need to sleep with your mouth closed ok you get fluid build up in your mouth. This would be much easier if you weren't developing a cold and your nose was all stuffed up. So based upon my cold right now I think it will be a few days before I attempt sleeping through the night with it.

This is possibly the Best Christmas Song Ever

The other day I was listening to the Brad Paisley Christmas CD on my iPod and I came across this song. It's amazing. Take the time to listen and enjoy it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN!!

My friend Erin is celebrating her birthday. Unfortunately I am far away this year and can't take Erin out for Breakfast. Two years ago I posted about Erin's birthday here. At the time I wanted to post pictures but it wouldn't work. So here are the pictures.

Erin are you mad? Or just trying to look tough?

Sometimes I wonder why Erin is still my frined when I constantly push her buttons.

Erin why so sad?

Oh much better here you are happy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have a great day. Sorry I won't be there to buy you a Balloon. :)

Warning: Guys might not like this post. (ie. Dad don't read this post) Also this post is for those 16 or older

Ok so last night I was watching a TV show online when the add came up. It was the first time I saw it. When he first started talking I thought it was a joke.

OK I know pap smears are no laughing matter. But I was just not expecting it on CBS. I guess last year they talked about ladies scheduling Prostate Exams for their men.

OK I know I have already said that this is a serious topic but I can't help but laugh whenever I watch the Hanukkah one. It might be because of the music.

So ladies we know your men are not going to make the appointment for you if they can't even buy you feminine products at the store. So go now and call your doctor and schedule an appointment. If you do that leave an anonymous comment saying you booked your appointment. :)

Christmas

This time last week I thought this video was going to be my life at Christmas this year.

I thought that I would just be dreaming about being home. After celebrating American Thanksgiving last week which is not even a regular holiday that I celebrate I started to get sad that I was not going to be home for Christmas. I knew someone would invite me to supper but the rest of the day would not be the same.

Things I would of Missed
- Convincing my Dad that he should let us pick pieces of Turkey Skin off
- Getting him another Beer LOL
- Arguing over who is going to say Grace at Dinner
- Waking up Cmas morning and opening presents in my pajamas with messy hair.
- Sitting around eating appetizers after the Cmas Eve Service
Added - My dad getting mad at my brother who always takes more seconds than he can eat at Christmas Dinner.
- My brother deciding after a few drinks on Cmas eve that he misses me so much and gets annoying.

Of course I would miss so many things about this guy. I would of missed him watching my dad read him the night before Christmas. I would of missed the excitement on his face opening presents Christmas morning. I would of missed giving him hugs and kisses and playing with him.

But thanks to Visa I will be able to be there and not miss anything this Christmas.

The Day I met The Pioneer Woman

So I am sure some of you have read it yourself or heard me reference The Pioneer Woman before. (Warning if you have never been to her site before you may become addicted like me :) ) I first started reading PW's blog back in the spring of this year. I spent numerous house the first few days reading Black Heels to Tractor wheels it is the story about how she and her husband met and fell in love. She is a great writer and storyteller. I found out yesterday that she will be publishing it as a book and also adding a whole second part and some more details. Plus she is also working on a second cookbook. I purchased her first one The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl and I love it. The price right now at Amazon is $10.75 which is a little cheaper than I purchased it for and much better than the full list price of $27 something that some people were paying at the book signing yesterday.

So yesterday Ree Drummond the Pioneer Woman herself was at the Mall of America. I have known about this for at least two months since I knew for sure I was going to be in Minneaplis. It had been a date I had been waiting for. The book signing was to start at 1. My original plan was to be at the mall at 10 and see what the line situation was first and then possibly look around. While I hit snooze lots. So I ended up not getting to the Mall until 11 and a line had started to form. So I got my wristband and joined the line. The time was 11:07. At around noon I went and got a smoothie and used the washroom this was a good idea since I still didn't realize how long I would be in line for. At 1:02 Ree came out and answered some questions people had. At 1:15 she started signing the books.

See that red dot? That is where I was sitting waiting from 11:00 until 1:15 when the line SLOWLY started to move. (I am not actually in the pic that is when I went to the washroom) So it seems like there are not that many people in front of me but actually there were more than it looks like.

So after waiting in line for 4 hours I got to meet Ree.

This is Ree signing my Mum's cookbook which was a Christmas I mean late birthday present. I wanted to tell my Mum about the day so I made it a late Birthday Present instead of Christmas.

Ree and I talking about if she ever does a version of The Ranchelor (ie. The Bachelor) with Cowboy Josh I would gladly volunteer to be the Canadian contingent for it. :)

Ree and I.

Marlboro Man (ie. Ree's Husband) signing cookbooks also. He signs the back page which is a photo of his butt in chaps.

Marlboro Man and I

So when I was standing in line I thought to myself I am going to ask Ree if she wants a starbucks coffee. Because anyone who reads her blog knows that she LOVES starbucks. So as I get closer to the front I see she has some cold drink from Caribou Coffee. So I think to myself there goes my plan. But when I finally get to the front of the line like while over an hour later I see she has hardly drank any of it. So after we talked about Cowboy Josh and I told her my mum couldn't cook very well (sorry Mum but I was hoping it would encourage her to write something a little more personal in your book) I mentioned how she had a caribou coffee but asked her if she wanted something from Starbucks and after trying to be like "oh no you don't have to do that" she agreed and told me what she would like. She even offered to give me money but I said don't worry about it. So I went and got MM to sign my book and then went and got her the coffee.

I gave it to the guy organizing the event and he gave it to her for me. She then waved at me and mouthed very sincerely "Thank You"

It was a GREAT day.

Megan and Nate

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend the wedding of my two good friends. I first met Megan and Nathan back during my first year at CLBI. There was a group of 8 of us. Four guys and four girls that hung out together. I spent many nights in Megans room talking about the boys in our group of friends and matching them up with the girls, the matches were always the same. While I wasn't very accurate in matching except yesterday it became official that I was 1 for 4. 25% that ain't bad right? It also became official that I am the only unmarried girl in the group but we won't dwell on that.

It was a beautiful wedding. The service was very nice. It was also fun to reconnect with old friends from school.

CONGRATULATIONS MEGAN AND NATE!!

Must See

If you have not already seen this movie. I think you should see it. It was a great movie and has a really interesting story line. It is about love and hope and shows the beauty of the country of India.

Did you loose track? 8 that's right 8 Oscars for a movie that was based and filmed in India. Slumdog Millionaire won 8 of the 9 categories it was nominated for. It actually had ten nominations but that is because it had two nominations in the best song category.

So what are you waiting for? Go see it.

so

I am tired and my one hand is really cold so this may be a short post.

So on thursday I am going to the airport really early in the morning. Where am I going?

CRESTON....I am so excited I can't wait to see my family mainly Callum sorry but it's true no one else is changing as much as he is. I will stay there until the following thursday. :D

I just got a new position at work. I will be switching houses. I will now be working with residents who have Alzheimer's and dementia. I am excited for the change. My line is only a .53 so I am sure I will still work lots of casual at my other house.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire last night and it is really good and I highly recommend it.

I am not sure what else I want to say right now? I will post photos of my trip when I get back. While your waiting check out his blog and watch the cute videos.

Blessings
